2-CH Diversity DVB-T Tuner

No matter where you are, you do not have to miss out on the big TV events, even if you are on the road: After a year in development, the ZE-DVBT50, a top quality DVB-T tuner for in-car digital TV, is being launched by Zenec. Thanks to a host of measures on the hardware and software side, the unit has been specially designed to work with the E>GO naviceivers via the comfortable touchscreen control. However, because of its separate IR sensor with IR remote control, this TV tuner is also suitable for moniceivers or naviceivers of other manufacturers, if retrofitting of DVB-T components is provided for by a free A/V-input.

Zenec’s new digital television receiver meets the most demanding performance requirements. The ZE-DVBT50 is a full feature model using the best chipset solution presently available from DibCom, the leading provider of DVB-T technology. The ZE-DVBT50 therefore impresses with a stable picture quality and very good reception, even at high speeds of up to 200 km/h.

Beside major functions – such as manual and automatic station search, an electronic program guide (EPG), teletext and 400 TV station presets – the ZE-DVBT50 also has AFS (Automatic Frequency Switching): when the vehicle goes outside a reception area and the signal is lost, a new scan is triggered which tracks the same station and updates the station list automatically. This completely does away with manual scans.   In addition to a high-quality MPEG II video decoder for a sharp, clean picture, the ZE-DVBT50 is also equipped with a 24-bit D/A converter, which makes for an excellent sound.

A lot of effort has also gone into the design of the GUI (Graphical User Interface): the uncluttered and unambiguous layout makes the operation of complex functions simple and intuitive – optimized HMI (Human Machine Interface) is priceless in the automotive environment.

The two DVB-T active antennas shipped with the set are to the latest standard with 5 V phantom power feed. Not only are they compact, they also impress with their superb installation characteristics and good reception quality.
