 E>GO ConceptNavigation, entertainment, communication – the ZE-NC2040 naviceiver is a complex navigation and multimedia system with a large range of features. ZENEC‘s new top-of-the-line model fits together visually with all automobiles belonging to the VW Golf IV line – for example with the VW Golf IV, VW Passat, VW Bora, VW Polo and VW Sharan. The red button illumination and the customized design of the front panel makes the E>GO not only perfect for the respective look of the car interior, but the E>GO is also effortlessly integrated into the existing automotive electronics. ZE-NC2040 can be installed into the original dash board of the above named automobiles without further modifications and without any additional adapters: simply take out the factory radio, put in the E>GO and drive off. MultimediaThe ZE-NC2040 is a mobile entertainment center, which offers you entertainment functions in abundance. The E>GO recognizes all modern data media – such as CD, DVD, USB, iPod, iPhone or SD cards. Of course, you can also play your private collection of CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW discs as well as compressed digital audio formats such as MP3, WMA, or AVI with this ZENEC multimedia station. Prepared and ready even for the latest encoding technology: the ZE-NC2040 also supports, for example, the modern video format DivX, going as far as version DivX6. The delivery scope of the E>GO unit contains the compact Media link box with a high-speed USB 2.0 port and an A/V input (3.5 mm plug). With this compact box to be stowed away in a convenient place like the centre console or the glove box, you can quickly connect or disconnect additional extra components like a USB stick or an external MP3 player. With the separately attainable interface cable ZE-NC-IPS you can also link your iPod or iPhone via the Media link box to your E>GO naviceiver. DisplayTop-class are the touchscreen displays of the ZE-NC2040: a high-quality, non-reflective TFT LCD panel with LED backlight, that guarantees a sharp, brilliant and contrast-rich picture. The controlling of the device is absolutely straightforward. With the sensitive, very responsive touchpanel you can operate all functions at the touch of your fingertips. Enjoy your music and movie collection while you are driving, by connecting your iPod or iPhone to the ZE-NC2040. With a separately attainable interface cable (ZE-NC-IPS), you can connect both Apple devices through the high speed USB port and control them via touchscreen. The batteries of both Apple players even get recharged during playback.
BluetoothUncomplicated calling and talking while driving: The ZE-NC2040 is equipped with a high quality Bluetooth module from Parrot. And this means excellent speech intelligibility, because of the innovative Audio-DSP signal-processing to filter out background, echo and ambient noise.
The E>GO allows pairing and convenient operation of almost any Bluetooth compatible mobile phone from a ZE-NC2040 – wihtout any additional mounting devices, adapters or even additional loudspeakers. Parrot guarantees for easiest control throughout the journey: The caller’s number, phonebook entries and further infos appear clearly on the display. Navigation SystemAccurately navigate via touchscreen: with the E>GO you can arrive quicker and more relaxed at the your destination – throughout all of Western and Eastern Europe. Select the desired target, choose between various options of route calculations, and you’re on the right track: your electronic co-pilot leads you without any detour to your final destination and also shows, if desired, relevant points/P.O.I.s such as gas stations, hotels and restaurants. A clear graphical map display, where various scales and view modes are available in 2-D and 3-D, makes navigating so much easier. As you concentrate on the traffic, the text-to-speech voice guidance leads you through the streets.

TMC and TMC ProThe TMC/TMC Pro function keeps you up to date regarding potential traffic jams on the chosen route, while automatic re-calculation of a suitable detour is a function covered as well. Just select the respective TMC function and you’ll get all relevant traffic messages on your map screen directly. Off the factory the TMC service is functional and free. The TMC Pro function requires a licence (lifetime) to be separately purchased through Naviextras (available for Germany, UK and France only).
To activate the TMC Pro service of the E>GO, you have two options: Buy a prepaid activation card (ZE-NC-TMCPRO) at your authorized ZENEC dealer or buy and download the license directly over Naviextras with your credit card. UpdatesNaturally, the ZE-NC2040 works with the software currently available. To keep the E>GO at the latest state, periodical software updates are available on the home page. Updates are issued for the main system, the CAN-Bus protocol and the software of the Parrot Bluetooth module – so that the ZE-NC2040 will remain compatible with future mobile phone generations. All updates can be downloaded conveniently at the menu item “Current software version“ (Link) and will be applied to the E>GO via USB stick.
