Where can I connect my ZE-NA2000N? Answer: The ZE-NA2000N is compatible with the following head units:
How am i supposed to connect the ZE-NA2000N? Answer: The external navigation unit goes to a free space (i.e. under the seat, glove compartment…) where it needs to be supplied with the operating voltage. Connect the device, using the included communications cable, to the head unit. Additionally place the GPS antenna at a place with a free line of sight to the sky (i.e. front screen).
Do I need to install the navigation box in a certain angle or what else do I have to look for during installation? Answer: No. You may install the navigation box almost where ever you like. Two things:
How do I get map updates for my ZE-NA2000? Answer: Download the "Naviextras Toolbox" software. Install it and follow the instructions. https://www.naviextras.com/shop/portal/downloads
What navigation software does the ZE-NA2000N use and what are the key features? Answer: The NA-2000N comes with Nav'N'Go IGO8 software. That is State-of-the-Art software featuring latest techniques like detailed 3D landscape and buildings or real-time display of motorway road signs for fast and safe orientation.
How up-to-date are the included maps? What map source is used for IGO8? Answer: Depending production date and storage duration it is well possible that the included maps are not the very latest. Therefore ZENEC always grants a so called Last Map Warranty. That means that you will be able to update your maps for free, within a period of 30 days after first map usage. Get your map updates and your accessories from www.naviextras.com.
Do I need to connect a speedometer pulse to the ZE-NA2000N? Answer: No. Your ZENEC is equipped with a modern SIRF3 chipset. That chip allows a reliable navigation independent from additional signals. The ZE-NA2000N even estimates your position in a tunnel, depending on the last GPS positions.
Does the ZE-NA2000N support TMC? Answer: No. While it is supported from the IGO8 software side, the ZE-NA2000N lacks of a TMC receiver and does not even feature a connector for it.
Naviextras did allow me to book TMC Pro. However, I don't see no hint to TMC Pro, neither in the manual nor on the packaging. Answer: TMC Pro is featured by ZENEC devices with a (hardware) TMC receiver only. Devices where you can't find TMC mentioned on either the packaging or the specs will not be able to book TMC Pro. The ZE-NA2000N, for example features no TMC hardware. Therefore it cannot be activated for TMC Pro. The TMC Pro license is useless in that case.
Routing is not reliable. The actual position does not match the one on the navigation display. Answer: You are most likely having a bad GPS reception. Check whether the GPS antenna is properly connected. If the problem persists you might have to move the antenna to a different location. Keep in mind that the GPS antenna should have a free line of sight to the sky, without any obscuring metal parts. Metallised thermo-glass windscreens do considerably diminish the reception quality, so do not install it here. Same goes for some plastic covers which might have a metallic layer right under the paint.
Where am I supposed to install the GPS antenna? Answer: The only constraint is that it should always have a free line of sight to the sky. An ideal candidate for installation would be for example a place right under the front windscreen, somewhere on the dashboard. Avoid to place under glass with metal coating (i.e. for heating) or under plastic parts which may feature a coated metal layer. |
