 Specialist for new mediaZenec's new 2-DIN naviceiver is built for modern users: all those who no longer want to play music or videos from CDs or DVDs, but prefer to carry their entertainment material around on USB sticks, SD card or iPod/iPhone. Consequently, the ZE-NC526 has no CD/DVD drive but concentrates exclusively on the playback of digital media. Audio and video formats, such as MP3, WMA, JPG, H.264, Xvid or AVI are played by Zenec's innovative digital media station simply via USB, an SD card or from Apple's iPod/iPhone – right up-to-date. The new navitainment system has two separate front USB ports (front and rear) and an SD/SDHC card reader (up to 32 GB of memory capacity) for directly playing music, videos, podcasts, audio books and photos. Using an interface cable, available separately, you can easily connect an iPod/ iPhone to the ZE-NC526 via one of the USB ports and control it from the touchscreen. Both front and rear USB ports will switch into iPod/iPhone control mode when an Apple device is connected to either of these ports. As you would expect, the innovative digital media station also has other A/V inputs and outputs for connecting external devices: DVB-T tuner, DAB+ receiver with touchscreen control; backup cameras or extra monitors are also offered by the comprehensive Zenec accessories range. Relaxed communicationThe Zenec ZE-NC526 is equipped with an optimized Parrot Bluetooth set, which enables convenient hands-free communication. The new Parrot Bluetooth solution offers not only a wide range of functions and outstanding speech quality, but it is also really comfortable to use. In addition to the convenience of imported phonebook contacts, the search function (up to 15 letters) with the new Parrot Bluetooth solution can make finding an entry enormously easier. The Bluetooth Favorite-Dial menu gives fast, direct access to the five most favorite contacts, which can easily be edited at any time. In-car high definitionOne highlight of the new Zenec naviceiver is the high quality 15.7 cm/6.2" WVGA HD panel; its resolution of 800 x 480 pixels makes for fine image detail at a high brightness level. Video sequences seem realistic and vibrant; the 3D GUI elements and navigation maps also look really crisp and sharp. The display has LED background lighting – a feature that is noticed in the large color gamut, the altogether very strong colors and uniform illumination of the screen. Ease of use the top priorityWhen you decide on a permanently installed in-car navigation system, you expect not only comprehensive, modern equipment but also ease of use. As regards the operating logic, menu structure and settings of the A/V, Bluetooth and nav functions, the devices from multimedia specialist Zenec are certainly among the most user friendly. The menu navigation is perfectly thought out, logically designed and clearly structured so the ZE-NC526 can be used quite intuitively by anyone, even inexperienced users. New look and feelYou can see at a glance that a great deal of time and graphical know-how has been invested in the development of the new graphical user interfaces. The appearance of the menus is fresh and modern. The very detailed, three-dimensional icons seem realistic and speak an unambiguous language of shapes thanks to the WVGA resolution. The animated GUI makes controlling the new Zenec entertainer simply more fun. Using the slide touch function, surfing through the menus is relaxed. The maps and data features appearing on the main navigation menu can be placed in different positions by dragging – so every user can arrange the display to his or her own taste. Rich set of functions – navigation includedThe ZE-NC526 is a flexible entertainer but a lavishly equipped navigator too, naturally with TMC and TMC Pro receiver and text-to-speech. The maps of the new Zenec naviceiver – 43 European countries with premium POI database from Tele Atlas are regularly updated through the “Latest Map guarantee”. As is usual today, map and software updates can be downloaded from the partner portals over the internet and transferred to the ZE-NC526. The 3D high definition nav data make for realistic 3D landscape and city map views. The proven navigation software has made destination search and routing even more convenient and dynamic. The Real Junction View function, Lane Assistant and Auto Zoom at crossings and junctions facilitate orientation in more complex traffic highway systems. The Quick menu gives fast access to all functions – also making the search for points of interest very much simpler. The Smart and Eco route calculation modes make for shorter and more economical trips. New in the function set is the display of traffic information and advisories when crossing EU borders, together with an optical and acoustic speed warning displaying the maximum allowed speed on the most important roads. TMC and TMC ProThe TMC/TMC Pro function keeps you up to date regarding potential traffic jams on the chosen route, while automatic re-calculation of a suitable detour is a function covered as well. Just select the respective TMC function and you’ll get all relevant traffic messages on your map screen directly. Off the factory the TMC service is functional and free. The TMC Pro function requires a licence (lifetime) to be separately purchased through Naviextras (available for Germany, UK and France only).
To activate the TMC Pro service of the E>GO, you have two options: Buy a prepaid activation card (ZE-NC-TMCPRO) at your authorized ZENEC dealer or buy and download the license directly over Naviextras with your credit card. Updates NavigationYou can update the navi content package, expand the navi-section with additional maps, or download the newest 3-D city maps using the website www.zenec.naviextras.com: anytime, even in the middle of the night or abroad during a journey.
ZE-NC526 accessoriesZENEC All-In-One - this does not mean only full compatibility to all popular audio and video formats, but also easy integration of further ZENEC devices like DVB-T tuner, rear view cameras, headphones or monitors for perfect rear zone entertainment.
