Updating the software version

If the version number of your presently installed software is older, follow these links describing the required update process step-by-step:

Please note:

• Do read the software update installation guideline carefully before attempting the software update. Make sure to have the installation guideline available during the entire update process.
• Do not switch off the Naviceiver nor cut its power during the entire update progress. Refrain from using the ignition and avoid at all cost to switch device off. Make sure that the power supply is stable.
• Paired cell phones might fatally disturb the update process. Switch your cell phone off or unpair existing cell phones in the Bluetooth setup.
• Don’t remove the USB stick during the entire update from the Naviceiver.
• Do only use the designated software for your Naviceiver model.
• While update process is proceeding, make sure to follow each step described in the installation guideline. Deviation may cause fatale damage to your Naviceiver.

Navigation Softwareupdates

Updates for the sat nav section of your naviceiver device can be accessed and downloaded over the Naviextras portal. For Naviextras to recognize your device, you need a USB stick with the software for file synchronization (“Synctool”) installed, as well as a dedicated map data manager software for browsing the update catalogue (“Toolbox”). Both required software bundles are available for download free of charge under the following links and together with the easy-to-understand PDF instruction sheets, you should have your sat nav content manager solution up and running in just a couple of minutes.

The Synctool software is required to copy map and software updates for your navigation system onto your device:
