Most advanced Navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for your vehicle
Innovative multimedia functions, including Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android AutoTM: The Z-E3771 is specifically developed for the Fiat Ducato III and models of the same platform (see compatibility list). In combination with the optionally available mounting kits N-XFDUC-1D7 or N-XFDUC-1D8, the infotainer fits perfectly into the cockpit and can be conveniently operated via the sensor buttons and its capacitive 9″/22.9 cm touchscreen with glass surface. Thanks to the adjustment mechanism, the vertical tilt angle of the screen and the vertical display height can be optimally adjusted to the user.
Clear and well-structured display
All sources and apps are clearly displayed – so all functions can be grasped at a glance and selected directly. It is also shown which app is available and can be selected. The clear and well-structured display plays a decisive role in ensuring that the device can be operated safely while driving.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Wired or wireless: connect your Apple iPhone via USB or pair it wirelessly via WLAN to use Apple CarPlay. With Apple CarPlay, your favourite smartphone apps are at your fingertips for communication, navigation and entertainment. Almost all CarPlay compatible apps are optimized for Siri voice control and can be operated via it.
Wireless Android AutoTM
Smartphones with Android operating system can be connected wirelessly or via USB to use Android Auto. Android Auto is optimized for safe operation in road traffic. The intuitive user interface in combination with voice control via the voice assistant ensures that you can focus 100% on the traffic – despite the wide range of functions.
Make secure and wireless calls with your smartphone
The Z-E3771 impresses with its particularly simple and secure smartphone use via Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android AutoTM: making phone calls, navigating or listening to music and podcasts is child‘s play, as all supported apps and functions can be controlled via voice commands using Apple Siri or the Google voice assistant.
The direct operation of the device is not a mystery either: All device functions and sources can be controlled intuitively using the classic operating concept with app icons on the main screen.
CarPlay & Android AutoTM: app variety
With Apple CarPlay and Android AutoTM, you can also use your favourite apps in your motorhome – to listen to music and podcasts or send WhatsApp messages. You also have the choice of using car or motorhome navigation apps from TomTom, Sygic or other providers, which are designed for easy mobile use with reduced control elements.
CarPlay & Android AutoTM: navi functions
Navigate with Apple and Google Maps certified and optimized for CarPlay and Android Auto. Both navigations impress with simple destination entry and clear route guidance. Important driving and turn-by-turn directions are displayed with large directional arrows. Searching for P.O.I. such as petrol stations, restaurants, cafés, etc. is also very easy.
Sound on the move – clear reception with DAB+
An integrated DAB+ tuner enables relaxed mobile digital radio reception of the highest quality. The modern DAB+ module impresses with its ease of use and variety of functions: DAB-DAB Following, DLS-Text, MOT-Slideshow and Comfort Scan.
In addition to an FM RDS tuner, the Z-E3771 has two USB 2.0 ports that can be used to play audio and video files (USB1 and USB2) as well as to connect Apple iOS and Android smartphones (USB1).
Connection of two camera systems
The Z-E3771 supports two cameras, which can be controlled via the device UI or the CAM sensor button. The camera image switches on automatically when reverse gear is engaged. To simplify distance estimation, distance guide lines can be displayed and adjusted as a camera image overlay via the setup.
Bluetooth Hands-Free and A2DP Music Streaming
The Bluetooth hands-free module impresses with its good voice quality. The import of up to 1,000 phone book contacts with 3 phone numbers each and search function are just as much a part of the convenient functions as A2DP music streaming with AVRCP control from smartphones.
Maneuver easily and safely with two cameras
The Z-E3771 has two camera inputs with switched power supply and an automatic maneuvering/shifting function triggered by engaging the reverse gear. Distance guide lines can be displayed and adjusted for better distance estimation. The camera function can also be started manually using the CAM sensor button on the front of the device. The Z-E3771 supports AHD cameras (720p) and can be combined with the new ZENEC multi-view camera models, which allow direct selection of different image sections and views on the touchscreen.

AW: The Z-E3771 is suitable for motorhomes based on FIAT Ducato III, from 2006 or series 7 (250), as well as the newer 8 and 2 series.
The vehicle must be equipped with factory radio preparation. Depending on the series and vehicle model, either the N-XFDUC-1D7 or the N-XFDUC-1D8 mounting kit are required to install the Z-E3771 device. Please refer to the compatibility list on the Z-E3771 page on www.ZENEC.com.
The Z-E3771 is not compatible with vehicles that are OE equipped with a radio or a sat nav system.
AW: Yes, the Z-E3771 comes with a special adjustment mechanism that allows the display to be adjusted with a few simple steps after the installation. The display tilt angle can be adjusted vertically +5° forwards and the display height can be adjusted upwards with up to +27.5 mm.
AW: The Z-E3771 has options for connecting to existing steering wheel remote control buttons in the vehicle.
AW: The camera range of ZENEC includes so-called “Multiview” models, designed as vehicle specific version as well as universal models. The Multiview function allows direct manual control of the desired rear view image on the ZENEC device, by tapping one of the six camera views on the touchscreen.
AW: The Z-E3771 features a DAB+ tuner with Comfort Scan function. After a complete band scan, the device generates an ensemble list which lists the DAB+ radio stations which are receivable in the region, in the respective ensembles. The sorting of the ensembles corresponds to the sequence of the ensembles and their short ID (i.e. 5C, 7A, 7D, 8D, 12C) while the station list in the ensembles is alphabetical. It is not possible to sort the station lists in the respective ensembles.
If you drive out of the reception area of the saved ensemble and the DAB+ stations it contains, some stations can no longer be received due to weak signal level. In such a case, simply perform a new band scan to update the station list.
AW: The signal from the light switch (‘Illu signal’ wire on the ISO wiring harness) of the vehicle is used to control the display brightness.
The screen brightness mode can also be adjusted from the ‘Auto’ setting to permanent ‘Day’ or ‘Night’ mode.
The display brightness can be fine-tuned by calling up the app list and then select ‘Settings’ -> ‘TFT screen’.
Also see chapter ‘TFT screen settings’ in the device operating instructions on page 53.
AW: Please refer to the instructions on page 32 and 33 of the device main operating manual.
The general functionality of CarPlay, as well as an overview of the apps supported by CarPlay and further additional information can be found on Apple’s official site: https://www.apple.com/en/ios/carplay/
AW: On newer smartphones (as of Android 10 and up) Android Auto is pre-installed and present out-of-the-box. For older smartphones download and installation via Google Play store may be necessary.
To use Android Auto on your ZENEC device, date and time must be correctly set on your ZENEC device. Call up the APP icon on the device and tap on ‘System’ to enter correct time and date. Please refer to chapter ‘Time & date settings’ in the device operating instructions on page 52.
More general information about and around Google Android Auto can be found here: https://www.android.com/auto/?sjid=6058334888314993486-EU
AW: Press and hold the ‘HOME’ sensor button for over 1 second.
Alternatively: Open the ‘APP’ list in the on-screen menu and select the ‘Audio’ tab.
Please refer to the information in the main operating instructions on page 44.
AW: Zenec devices include under-voltage protection sensor circuitry to avoid low voltage boot process to safeguard the unit that may not work as intended without stable supply voltage. The root cause of device reboot issues can usually be attributed to the on-board batteries or power supply network cables and connections, causing the voltage to drop below 10.5 volts during engine start-up.
In case of frequent device reboots after engine starts, please consult your vehicle service point or the motor home dealer to review your car´s starter or second battery and the electrical wiring.
AW: Up to seven smartphones can be paired with the device. However, only smartphone can be connected for use at a time. The Auto Connect function is only available for the smartphone which got paired last.
AW: No, unfortunately this is not possible. You can delete a saved favourite. Then resynchronize the phonebook and select the updated contact as a favourite again.
AW: It can happen that the file system of the data medium is damaged or that the formatting of a data medium is lost due to aborted write cycles. The causes for this can be of various kinds, such as use or storage of the data medium, as well as problems with the initial formatting.
In these cases, you must format the data carrier with FAT32 on your PC or notebook. Info: If media content on the USB drive is still not recognized by the device after formatting, it may be due to an incompatibility of the data media controller chip. In such a case you should use another USB medium by another manufacturer brand.
AW: Format the USB data medium you want to use with FAT32 – before use. Zenec generally recommends to use only high quality USB sticks. Please note the specifications in the device main features for the allowable memory sizes. Also note that the USB ports on the device are designed for a current consumption of max. 1500 mA. Since external hard drives often have higher operating currents, we do not recommend using them. Further information about USB and MP3 playback problems can be found here:
