I have an active FM antenna in the vehicle. Do need to purchase and connect a FM antenna supply adaptor?

AW: No. The Z-E2055 comes with a white Fakra FM input connector. This FM input has a permanent phantom power supply for active OE FM antennas. Thus, the FAKA plug of the OE antenna can be connected to the device directly.

ATTENTION: In the case the vehicle is equipped with a phase diversity antenna system coming with two vehicle-side FAKRA connectors: The set content of the Z-E2055 includes a double to single Fakra adapter. Using this adapter will provide you with normal and acceptable FM reception performance. For higher requirements and best FM signal level and reception stability, a dedicated FM diversity adapter should be purchased separately.

The company PMA Mobile offers two suitable FM diversity adapter items for combination with the Z-E2055. To select the appropriate adapter, the antenna supply voltage of the target vehicle must be known.

The PMA article 204.084-0 provides 12 V supply voltage (“FM antenna supply” must be set to ON in the device setup menu).
The PMA item 203.084-0 provides 12 V as well as 8.5 V antenna supply voltage (the blue remote cable of the device main harness must then be connected. “FM antenna supply” must be set to OFF in the setup menu). Before you start adapter hook-up please refer to the supplied connection instructions of the adapter.
