Do I need to adjust the “Antenna Supply” setting in the setup menu?

AW: The Z-N720 contains a phantom power supply, to feed active FM antennas.

Antenna phantom power factory default is OFF. The use of an external phantom power supply is not recommended by ZENEC, since the self protection logic of the tuner pc board will enter protection mode when both external and internal phantom power supplies are set to ON (accidentally).

For vehicles that equipped with a passive FM antenna, the power supply must be set to OFF – for active antennas, the correct setting is ON. So this particular setting depends on the vehicle itself and the antenna present in the car. To avoid mistakes and/or poor FM performance, ZENEC recommends on site check with the dealer where the vehicle or device was purchased. The absolute FM performance is – to a certain extent – dependent on the FM antenna type, its vehicle mounting location and the correct settings in the device menu. If you have doubts or questions on any of these points, please consult your dealer or let your dealer verify related settings for correctness.
