AW: The Z-N975 provides two options to integrate steering wheel control buttons.
- Resistive: That is, if it is an analog/resistor-based steering wheel remote control.
The Z-N975 has a direct analog interface, which supports compatible vehicles without further measures. I.e. the steering wheel buttons can be reprogrammed and assigned in the learning mode. Follow the instructions for programming the buttons in the operating instructions on p.7 of the main device operating manual.
- CAN Bus: I.e. if your vehicle is equipped with a CAN based steering wheel remote control.
The Z-N975 features an IR-In input for the connection of separately available external vehicle specific CAN and/or Stalk interfaces. A suitable vehicle-specific interface and a connection cable to the device are required, depending on the vehicle make, model and year of manufacture. These items can be purchased separately via authorized dealers.
