AW: This function cannot be adjusted, since it is a non-adjustable system function. In vehicles that are based on the VW Golf V platform the Z-E2026 can be started with the ignition key in the “X-contact” position. Pulling the key out will shut down the unit. In VW Golf VI cars, the Z-E2026 will boot up right after unlocking of the centralized door locking mechanism. This system layout has a deeper purpose: achieve full compatibility with the newer „Start / Stop“ system equipped vehicles. The fringe benefit is that automatic device start also ensures readiness of important, safety relevant functions such as OPS and reversing camera. No one wants to drive off without these functions in their ready state.
